This hat isn't perfect, but it still has some good qualities. Pros: Very light and absorbs sweat well. The headband absorbs sweat better than a regular baseball cap. The very long beak offers additional protection from the sun. Can be washed. Cons: Very short hat measured from temple to crown. I prefer a shorter hat (which is typical of women's styles) but this one is almost too short. When I first put it on it slipped through the ups and downs, but when I adjusted the back buckle I managed to get it to stay in place. Although the beak is very long for protection from the sun, it is also very narrow. I get sun spots on my temple and just below my outer eyes and it doesn't provide enough protection for those areas. As already mentioned, the beak is very long, so I push the beak a bit to the side in bright sunshine. Hardly perfect. I'll keep this hat as I've sweated in it and it's bearable, but I'll probably replace it after I've worked.
