I preordered a 15lb weighted blanket and just bought another one for a friend as a gift. I suffer from anxiety and insomnia and it takes me a long time to fall asleep at night. When I first used this weighted blanket I immediately felt relaxed and just fell asleep and slept through the night for 8 hours. I usually tossed and turned a lot, waking up in the middle of the night feeling either too hot or too cold only to find my blanket was tangled somewhere in the bed. The extra weight seems to have stopped this and I would wake up in the morning under a weighted blanket feeling refreshed instead of the tiredness I usually feel after a bad night's sleep. The quality of the blanket is superb - it just feels that way. soft and smooth and looks luxurious on its own. Most importantly, it's very smooth on my skin and doesn't cause any skin problems. My skin is quite sensitive and I've had rashes when using other poly/cotton duvets or sheets. I think bamboo fabric is perfect for me. It came in a lovely gift box with instructions - I can feel the high level of detail and care that went into this product from the inside so I decided to buy another one for a friend's birthday.
