This device uses a small camera, just like most smartphones. It has a beautiful design that sets it apart from other discreet cameras. The lens itself is tiny and attached to the main camera body with a ribbon cable. This allows you to hide the inherently small camera body, leaving only the lens exposed. It's very unobtrusive! The camera is equipped with a Wi-Fi transceiver, so it streams your video to your phone over a Wi-Fi connection to the internet. The picture quality is sharp enough to be viewed on a phone, but the colors aren't as vivid and all the blacks in the video look dark grey. Motion detection settings seem to go from no motion at all to motion detection all the time. This is not a night vision camera. It has a USB port and comes with a USB power outlet, so you can leave it on all the time and access videos remotely over the internet when you're not at home. The built-in battery isn't that big and I recommend using an external USB battery or leaving it plugged into the wall. I haven't tried writing to the SD card yet.
