They appear to be strong bags and the ones I received had zip closures but as I am new to food storage and want to use them with a vacuum device I don't understand why they don't work with that vacuum sealers from the my Food Saver brand work. put a stamp on it. I suppose I could use them with O2 absorbers and a zipper and then additionally seal them with an iron, but that's a lot more work than my vacuum sealer. So I ordered several others that claim to be compatible with all brands of vacuum sealers. As with anything, you learn from your mistakes. I just didn't know what to order and found out after I got them. Again, don't order these if you're using a vacuum sealer. If you want to throw things in and add oxygen scavengers, they should be fine.
