Stable and functional shelves.

First of all I would like to say that these are actually quite good shelves. I needed something for my tiny bathroom and it was perfect. They are sturdy and definitely not waterproof, so don't put them in a particularly humid environment or the MDF ("wood" material) will swell. It really shouldn't be difficult as it's usually a bad idea to wet the walls you're going to mount it on, so this shouldn't be a problem for anyone. They're pure white, but if you look closely you can see where the veneer meets along the edges - again, that shouldn't be a problem, because who looks at the edges of a shelf? I've uploaded the instructions in case anyone (sometimes) misses or loses them. Please note as previous customers have pointed out they are not the best. They say you only need a screwdriver, which is just not true (and I'm a master at turning anything into a hammer). Hope this helps: Tools: 1/4" hammer drill and screws small spirit level Package Contents (6 screws, 6 anchors, 2 shelves) Instructions: 1. Decide where you want to place the shelves and measure to that point both edges from the walls (from the ceiling or the floor, it doesn't matter, only consistently) 2. Hold the shelf flat against the wall as if there were no screws on one side and it's hanging on the edge of the plane Now you can see the screw slots (Caution: Make sure the slotted holes are facing the wall, not you.) Mark the centers of these slots. 3. Do the same to the adjacent wall on the other side of the shelf. 4" drill bit, make 5. Take the wall anchors, flatten them and wiggle them into the hole (this may take some force but doable) until they stay in place, hold them to the smoothed curve and hammer them in carefully into the wall (you have to hold it until you get the reach curve, or they'll just collapse - just tap lightly, it shouldn't take much force).6. Thread the screws into the anchor holes until there is only about 1/4 inch left on the outside of the wall. You will see about two threads. just a little, with a little force, the screw will move a little (if you're too deviated, don't try unless it's close). When you line up the shelf with the edge against the wall, it should be flat. Hope that helps!
