Review on Bellroy Leather Hide and Seek Wallet: Men's Accessories and Wallets, Card Cases, and Money Organizers by Simon Nugroho

I liked it immediately. It looked amazing with nice texture and stylish design. Now that 4 months have passed I dream of buying something else. PROBLEM #1 - "Hidden invoice section". This is the root of all shortcomings. This is an extra piece of leather that should fold over the insert so you can hide the bills behind the insert. The problem is that the flap never stays down, even if the "hidden" area is empty. With several bills in the hidden area, he especially doesn't want to stay down. It's also prone to wrinkling, and if it's wrinkled, good luck it doesn't wrinkle. The valve (particularly wrinkled areas) creates a bulge from the extra thickness, which leads to the next problem. PROBLEM #2 - Durability. The bulge created by the valve for the hidden part creates wear points. I only weigh fifty bucks and just my weight on those beaded areas causes the texture to wear away revealing cheap looking untextured leather that's a lighter color than the textured finish. There should be an artificial texture on which the stamp will be applied. This means the wallet will only look worse over time, no patina, and will get better with age like some wallets. PROBLEM #2.1. The durability is retained. There are 3 card slots on the right side where I store 2 debit cards and 2 credit cards and there are two cards in one slot. There are 2 card slots on the left side where I keep my driver's license, car insurance card and health insurance card, again with a slot for two cards. This, combined with an average of 10-15 bills, creates a distinct bulge around the entire edge of the wallet, creating additional wear points where the texture is slowly beginning to wear away. In short, I don't think this thing will last long. over a year until it looks pretty good. DO NOT BUY this wallet if you have a lot of cards. I press it and try to fit a total of 7 cards into 5 slots. Too many cards warp like crazy and the texture wears out faster than it already has. I also wouldn't recommend this for those who are heavier as I only weigh 150lbs and my weight alone is enough to cause significant wear and tear.
