I chose this charger for my old Dell Insperion 15.6 inch laptop mainly because it didn't use an adapter which the previous two chargers soon failed to connect to the charger. However, I was concerned about its quality. Given the price. The first thing that struck me when it arrived was how light it is. In electronics this is generally good. This often means that more modern solid state electronics are in there. This may also mean that the power adapter is also small. plugged it into my totally drained laptop and it started working. Although I hadn't timed it, it charged surprisingly quickly. When I first used it, the lit up LED didn't light up. It lit up after a few minutes. Not sure if this is intentional or if it's a sign something is wrong, anyway it charged my laptop and stayed cool, it's not once heated up a bit, even when used to power a laptop. Now it remains to be seen how long this will last. Ice, if I get a year off that, I'll be happy.
