We have a family friend with a serious foot odor problem. It's literally the worst I think I have ever experienced in my entire life. So after lots of reading I discovered merino wool and was thinking it would be too good to be true if it actually worked.Things you need to know about merino wool:1) you need a high percentage merino wool sock, basically 70% or higher2) merino wool is brittle and will wear out quickly. Do not tumble dry. Do not wear them unless they are in your shoes. This will extend the life significantly. Once you get a hole it is time to throw them out.3) they deform when you wear them and after washing they will return to normal.4) you can wear them year-round, even in the hottest summerSo after gifting merino wool socks to the family friend over a year ago, I can say that I am a believer. The family friend literally has no foot odor whatsoever. This is why I bought more but settled on this brand this time. Apparently they are way softer than another brand I bought, so I'll be buying these going forward and perhaps some for myself too.
