Great needles but flimsy tube

I'm not entirely sure I'll ever use a 3.5 inch needle, but I bought it primarily to store my assortment of embroidery and chunky needles. Unfortunately, the cap for the tube does not fit well, which completely defeats the purpose of storing the needles. Seems like a great idea but the cap is unscrewed so I reattached a piece of eraser to the end to keep the needles from falling out like I used with the singer's brand needle sleeve (which is even worse btw). per mile).
