Review on πŸ”’ Enhanced Protective Silicone Case for JBL Charge 4 Speaker: Travel-Friendly Skin with Shoulder Strap, Waterproof Pouch & Carabiner by Ray Richards

Great but not perfect. I recommend.

This item was great. The shoulder harness didn't meet my needs, so I hung it on my belt using the ABS-D buckles that came with the seat belt. The rubber covers the keys but has the same raised markings so you can still identify them by touch (unless you put it on the wrong way round) and it doesn't interfere with the sound. The only complaint is that the stitching at the end of the strap that holds the clasp quickly separated and had to be tied into a knot and the clasp should be replaced with something larger and metal closer to the carabiner. In this position it does dampen the highs a bit, but that's okay as I mainly use the JBL Charge 4 as a bass amp for a bass guitar simulator app. It works great with an extra cable, but the Bluetooth lag makes it unusable. And with the Sound Assistant (Samsung) I can control the volume of individual apps so I can turn them on, turn off YouTube a bit and play along. Furthermore, and this can be a plus or a minus depending on how you look at it, by closing the buttons you also cover the lights that indicate it's on and connected to Bluetooth, which are in the buttons themselves . Possible improvement, make the next version transparent/translucent so you can see the light, with bigger holes at connection points, stronger fasteners and straps, with better stitching. Of course it would cost more then, but I would pay for the increased quality.

Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
