This is the next best thing to a true off-road locker. The only downside to this is that when a tire lifts off the ground, power is not properly transmitted. You can get around this by using the brakes to transfer power when a wheel is off the ground. In the attached video I apply the brakes to transfer torque to a spinning wheel that is off the ground. Well, they offer fantastic traction. Much better than clutch based limited slip differentials. They don't require a speed difference, just a torque difference. What is important in the field.
