Review on Cmhoo XXL Gaming Mouse Mat Extended &Amp by Kyle Collins

Very nice and big. but. HORRIBLE CHEMICAL SMELL!

I bought this item yesterday and I love it. I like how big it is, it fits a keyboard and enough room for a mouse, it's heavy and sturdy, and while I wish the card printing was a little less blurry, I don't think it's easy to get text onto fabric to press. smells. ABOMINABLE. It has an extremely strong chemical/rubber smell that gave me a massive headache after just an hour. So I took it off my desk and sprayed it with Febreeze fabric freshener, hung it outside, even sprayed it with perfume and so far nothing has reduced the smell. I can only hope the smell goes away because I really wish I could use it without migraines! I'm not sure if it's washable, I didn't see anything in the description that it's machine washable. didn't want to try it. I hope the smell goes away. Update almost 3 years later: This mouse pad was pretty good for a while. After about 6 months the edges where my wrists rest started to fray. The backing then started to melt and stuck to my desk, leaving a very sticky, tarry, gummy residue that was extremely difficult to remove (Goo-Be-Gone helped, but it's still there, under the mouse pad). I turned it upside down. bottom so that the sticky, melted area of the backing was at the top with ragged edges, but now the bottom (previously the top) is also ragged from the melting of the liner. For the price I can't say it wasn't worth it but I would NOT buy this mouse pad again as the smell of moths was literally dissipated. I think it took at least 6 weeks before I could even use it and over 3 months before the smell seemed to go away completely. This is really unacceptable for me as an odor-sensitive person. Now I'm looking for one that doesn't smell that bad and doesn't melt on my desk and ruin it.
