Not only is the serial measurement incompatible with the analog scale, it starts at around -2 pounds, so any measurement is likely to be inaccurate. I weighed a known 10 pound weight about 5 times, and each time the weight changed by a full pound. Whether you weigh mail or luggage, a pound difference is too big. Electronic scales were less wrong, only half a pound on average, but again, serial measurements of the same item weren't accurate enough to convince me. that I have an accurate reading of my baggage or package to be shipped. Unfortunately, both items are not accurate enough to measure baggage or packages pre-flight and estimate shipping costs before submitting items for official weight. the fulfillment of the order is partly (ONLY PARTIALLY) at fault. The shipping box appears to have been thrown onto my porch by the Sent Revain driver instead of being properly placed. Throwing a measuring tool like a scale and subjecting it to any kind of shock can certainly affect the accuracy, repeatability, and reliability of the scale. Such items are not intended for rough handling. It also makes me, as a scientist, think about how these items were treated and how they were treated in storage and at the place of production. However, it seems that the biggest flaw is simply the poor quality of the items. I will be returning this package with two defective items which may have been further damaged in transit although I suspect they started out as inaccurate inaccurate tools. Save money on lousy equipment, and if precision and accuracy are important to you, buy a more expensive, much better scale.
