I use these for DIY face masks and prefer masks with adjustable nose pieces. I've tried using zip ties (they do the job but not very well) and auto wire (also worked but unfortunately the wire starts sticking out of the bodywork after going through the washing machine). This product is easy to use, does its job well and no wires are sticking out even after multiple machine washes. I wish I had had them earlier as I have made dozens of masks! On many masks that don't have an adjustable nosepiece, these could be used to upgrade them.
