My hair started with cropped hair at the ends and my natural medium brown at the roots. I mixed 1:1 with Herbal Essence Conditioner (whatever I had on hand), applied with gloved hands and left for an hour, then rinsed with cold water until the water ran clear. Even going to bed with slightly damp hair, there was no transfer to the pillow the first night. The first photo is right after death. UPDATE: +2 weeks. The color still looks amazing, but it's definitely fading with every wash. The color is almost completely gone from my natural hair, but it's so happy and bright on the treated hair! The only color transfer I experienced was on my pillowcase. I had no trouble putting my clothes on, even when I wore them with wet hair. Second photo in two weeks. Third photo after 1 month.
