Pairing problem, one does not work in single mode.

We keep having problems with one of the speakers. In standalone mode, it doesn't connect to the Kindle we're using. Everything else is alright. It's quite frustrating when we don't want both speakers to work but only one, we have to keep changing it. Anyone else know? Now don't think it's user error.
