My criteria for purchasing this monitor were: 27 inch screen, low seat (close to the table top) and decent text. I got all three. The stand is height adjustable. I have it all the way down, with the bottom of the screen about 2.4 inches above the tabletop. If you don't wear bifocals or trifocals you might be wondering why I want them to be low. That way I don't have to tilt my head too much. The screen can be raised so that the bottom of the screen is 7.6 inches above the table top. The screen can also be rotated 90 degrees for portrait viewing. This is probably intended for programmers who have more than one screen and want to see many lines of code at once. I believe there are other uses as well. I will not use it in portrait mode. All stand adjustments (height, rotation and tilt) are simple and reliable. The entire product is solidly built in every way. I have a note. There is only one sheet of paper 8½ by 11 for documentation, and it's all pictures, not words. The instruction manual is on the web but apparently Revane doesn't want me to give you a link. How difficult will it be for her to tell me that? It actually took me a while to find it. So after I got everything set up, I took a look at the manual. It says that I had to turn off the computer and unplug it before plugging in the monitor. I didn't do any of this and everything worked. The screen looks good at viewing angles from -45 to +45 degrees. Also, it gets a bit boring. Stitching it together with a sheet of photos was easy, quick and easy. Tools are not required. At the bottom of the monitor on the right are five buttons. The one on the far right (I'll call it #5) is power. The next (#4) displays a small menu. Then press #3 to open the menu. It's pretty intuitive from there, so I'll stop for a tour. I think the settings were pretty good out of the box. I've lowered the brightness a little, sharpened a little, checked the color settings and left them on 'default', and played around with the left-right-top-bottom centering to make sure it's correct. I do not play. loads of gaming, and I don't have sixteen other monitors to compare it to, so I can't share some of the other reviewers' comments along those lines. It's not designed for gaming, it doesn't have speakers and it doesn't have a touchscreen. You can find out by reading the product description.
