Where have you been all my life?

Wow. I can only say wow! At $100, this is a pretty solid headset that will likely find more use for listening to music than as a dedicated gaming headset. I originally saw a review of this product on a YouTube video and then started looking at other reviews. After seeing two (first ones) I went ahead and ordered it because it was on sale at $56.99. NOT DISAPPOINTED. I've been listening to music through this headset for the last two days and it sounds pretty good. Reliable as passive headphones and good when turning on the gain. I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like the win is red/purple/blue (mobile or PC/Xbox One, PS4) in order of thinnest to thinnest. I think the Xbox One is purple because they only have to use two lights - red and blue - to get three colors, rather than three or four to make a light green. To be honest, I'm really surprised at the range you get with these headphones. . Again, at $100 they're still great headphones, but at $56.99 I feel like I almost stole them. Assembly and construction of SOLID materials. Very good, much better than my Bose in-ear headphones I bought ten years ago which were around $150 (and they weren't amplified). For over-ear headphones, that's not so bad. Your ears won't get hot and the strap and cups aren't too tight. I like to listen in amplified mode with the Xbox One (purple) setting for everything. For example, if you use PS4 mode instead of mobile mode, the headset volume can get much louder. But along with that comes a background noise when nothing is playing, not hiss, but something like the hum you hear when you play an electric guitar plugged into an amp. The boom mic sounds great, the headset mic does the job of monitoring your own voice. nearby noises. My only complaint about the headset is that you have to hold it LONGER to switch between game modes to cycle through it than to turn it off. 3 seconds to turn off and 4 or 5+ seconds to toggle to the next headset mode (you need to release the button then hold it again if you need to toggle again, it doesn't take as long as you hold it).TL ; DR - If you need a good pair of wired headphones and a game (but may or may not just have a basic headset) then this product is for you. Get it before it goes back to $100 and even at $100 it's still a great headset!

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
