I loved the simplicity and quality of these toys. The stem is fine, although it doesn't lengthen. but I quickly noticed that sea creatures accumulate water and form mold very quickly. These aren't the only rubber toys, but I think a one-piece toy is safer. My daughter is at the point where she's trying to drink bath water and I can't risk her eating the mold which comes off easily if she wrings it out. I cannot recommend all products.
