Besides not implementing a USB hub here, so just 1:3 cables carry the signal AND provide power, it's a lot smarter than buying endless USB power connectors. In my case I use a LIPO based USB charger and I need to charge a lot of small devices at the same time so this is a lifesaver. The LIPO charger only has USB-A and USB-C, so right away I have 4 ports, 3 micro-USB and USB-C. Note that smart chargers get confused when you have many different devices plugged into the same charging port. , so make sure that devices with batteries of about the same size are connected to all three connections. In my case, my bike tail light, helmet light, and Garmin Edge 520+ are pretty similar in size, and my phone plugs into a USB-C port.
