No Cotton at All - (Updated)

Okay, I was wrong about the texture of these things. They're incredibly rough when dry, but they're very absorbent and very smooth with the product applied. A little helped, which is impressive, but nothing happened when I tried them with cleaning water. They spread the product evenly but there were no marks left on the pad and that was before washing for the day. I tried them again tonight before bed and got the same results. Their thinness also makes them difficult to control or manipulate. I could see that they're great for camouflage with medicinal tonics (especially since just a few drops will saturate the whole thing), but I think cotton is more effective and cheaper. ————— I would not order them from Revain again If I liked them - they come in a perforated box with no plastic/protective packaging. Because my order was packaged in a padded envelope along with other items, my box arrived slightly crumpled, causing the perforations to rupture and exposing the inner padding to other debris in the envelope. For me, the real problem is that they call it "cotton" and it's not - it's a blend of "natural cellulose" and viscose, and they're quite coarse. They have a felty texture and are very similar to the cheap "scrub" pads that come with the home scrub kits I've used in the past. They're pretty rough and I'm uncomfortable using them around my eyes, which is annoying because half the reason I buy disposable cotton pads is to remove eye makeup. There are many good and cheap imitations of Japanese cotton. Pads (like Shiseido and Koh-gen-do) which are actually cotton and stretch into sheets to effectively conceal and clean/remove makeup. Your face skin is thin and delicate, for the price you can do better.
