It works now and I don't expect any of these cables to last long, several months and they will start to wear out. This cable is similar to others I have purchased in that the housing cover slips over the small end that goes into the phone and you cannot insert the cable all the way into the phone if you are not careful. Then it doesn't load. So out of habit I don't press on the case but on the cable in front of the case to make the connector enter the phone.
