These bars are a bit small, I think a bit smaller than a standard Ivory bar. The smell is wonderful and they lather very well. The only downside is that they don't seem to last very long. I'm no soap expert and I'm not in the habit of keeping track of things like expiration dates on bars, but so far we've had our second bar of soap in less than a month and three people are using it. We've found that it only takes a minimal amount of this soap to create a great lather and be clean enough, but even with sparing use, the amount quickly decreases. Our soap sits on a bamboo holder to protect it from excess moisture and to let it dry and I think that extends the lifespan a bit. All in all, if you're looking for a great smelling soap with great lather, this soap is for you. Maybe that's why I'll buy it again.
