Buy a new pair every summer!
Both of my kids have gotten a pair of these shoes every summer since they started running. They're ideal because they're closed and waterproof, yet light and somehow not smelly. They also wash really well in the washing machine (found out after my kids tossed them in a pile of dirty laundry and I didn't realize)

- Great purchase for a busy kid.
Cons
- Some kids may not like the style or design of the shoes.
