I bought this Pacsafe Travelsafe bag for vacations. I wanted something to store our electronics and valuables, mostly when I wanted to go for a swim (er, or run to the bathroom). This bag turned out to be very handy, especially when we were at the beach and we wanted to swim in the sea. The bag is large and we kept tablets, cameras, phones and other valuables in it and there was still room. The cord is quite long so the bag can be attached to many different things to deter thieves. On the beach, we strapped it to two heavy lounge chairs, making it almost impossible to grab our bag unobtrusively. As others have said, it's possible for someone with wire cutters or a utility knife to cut through a steel cable or lock. Hey, it's also quite possible someone could shoot through the lock with a gun, or someone could cut the cable with a hacksaw. This bag won't stop criminals from getting your stuff. But it will definitely stop would-be thieves who can quickly grab the bag because the owners aren't around. My only concern is that it's uncomfortable to carry because the small top handles just aren't that comfortable to hold, especially when the bag is full. It would be nice if there was a padded adjustable handle on the back/side so you can carry this bag like a sling. Otherwise I can only recommend this bag!
