Good quality. The black trumpet compliments our interior style, so we're generally happy with it. Note the following: - It takes some experience to ensure all flanges are aligned and level/plumb. - Even if/when you pre-assemble tubes. According to the printed instructions, the frames do not align and some hardware must be loosened to align. - I find that we (myself and the hubs) are a bit above average when it comes to DIY, but it took some understanding and collaboration during installation as we decided to line up the holes on the flanges with our bolts to increase holding power increase (for the weight of books and family photo albums/photo boxes). This choice was due to the poor quality of the plastic drywall anchors included in the package. Now that I've installed one, next time I'll install it higher (to accommodate larger children's books that won't fit in the current setup) and slightly lower (to accommodate a 12" shelf/wooden insert). Aesthetically, it doesn't match a book larger than 9 inches. Our photo albums measure up to 15 inches, and since the shelf is about 12 inches deep from the back wall to the front of the wooden shelf, it overhangs the front too much to be balanced. With the current setup I'm limited to what can be put on the shelves - by size. This has nothing to do with the quality of the product, but you may not be aware of these aspects beforehand, which is why I include them in my review.
