Review on Enhance Outdoor Security with Yellow Outdoor Lights Security Lighting by Richard Stewart

No more insects, the light is weak and expensive

Our oldest loves to sleep in the light. So bugs flew to him at night, which frightened him and prevented him from sleeping well. Yes, irony. Pros: - no bugs (everything works!) - auto on/off Cons: - dimmer than expected (judging by the product images) - expensive but it was a challenge to find the right size (E12) bulbs that can also be dimmed and are affordable. That's why we chose those that fit into an ordinary lamp. The automatic on/off lamp is a big plus. That's one less thing to do during your bedtime, and in this case, that functionality alone seems to give the little one a sense of security. The light appears very yellow. Looking at the photos on the product page doesn't distort the amount of yellow light - there are images that show very yellow outdoor shots. However, the images seem to show that the light is much brighter than it really is. I've never used amber bulbs before so I don't know how this amber light and its brightness compare to other 6w bulbs. However, at 6 watts it's a little underpowered for a room of around 12x12. This is our little one's biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is the price. I don't know the cost or demand for such bulbs, but $17 for 2 bulbs is a lot.

Pros
  • BEETLE FREE - This 2000,000 500 lumen yellow light bulb emits a cozy yellow light.
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others
