Excellent organizers! And yes, they are stackable - they have handle holes on both narrow ends - one goes in and the other sticks out. To fold them, simply fold them across from what's underneath - so the bottom end should have an end sticking out the open end of your self and the top end should have an end sticking in the open end. The striping allows them to be stacked on top of each other, and being arranged in the same direction means they can be stacked for storage. So, let's move on to other important elements - this is good, durable, thick, transparent plastic. They don't kink or bend, they carry well even when folded. They clean up easily with a damp cloth and I hand wash mine with hot water if anything has been spilled in them and they look brand new. I use them in the pantry and fridge but haven't used them in the freezer so I can't confirm their longevity when used there. I've dropped them on the floor from time to time, both straight out of the fridge and off the pantry shelf, with and without weight in them, and they've never snapped (which is a really great, random test of their durability). .) I have a few of these from different brands and this set, this brand, is my favorite although it wasn't the most expensive or top rated. I just wish it was possible to buy more of these in separate sizes - like a set of 4 large or 4 small without having to buy a mixed set.
