I have to say it makes lotion better than massage oil in my opinion. It's like a thick lotion and moisturizes very well. My skin feels very soft after rubbing it in and even leaves a slight glow. After that, it doesn't feel oily or greasy. It's actually not a very good massage oil because it doesn't work very long before needing to be reapplied, and I've found that the lotion flakes off if you massage for a long time. and becomes lumpy on your skin. Not very nice. So this is a great lotion, not like a massage oil. I also notice that it smells very nice, but not at all like I thought it would. To me it doesn't smell like lavender and sage, but something artificial. It's not uncomfortable, just not in the way I imagined.
