Revainrating 5 out of 5

My thoughts come from the vintage side of things

First of all I would like to let you know that I didn't buy this from Revain. I bought from a local store and wanted to share my thoughts as a shopper with the Revain community. I'm by no means an audio file expert, but I love good sounding music and I play music. I currently use the Sansui G-7000 for everyday driving needs. If you're familiar with vintage sound, it's from the golden age of sound. Powerful pounding heartbeat sound from 2 amazing channels. This circa 1978 85-watt-per-channel receiver is a beast. I have now bought this Peachtree Nova 150 rated at 150 watts per channel and I can tell you it will most likely need a rest. Since it's rated at 150 watts per channel, it doesn't sound like my Sansui. Not a bad sound, more of a neutral sounding amp to my ears. So I hooked it up to a Bluesound node for my source, plus a Kenwood KE-2060 vintage EQ, and also added a 10-inch Polk subwoofer, and now let's talk. I'll be back in about 80 hours to see if 150 shows up or if I should see 300. very good. I'm glad to hear how to get hacked. To update; I returned the 150 and demoed the Nova 300 and even it didn't have the textured, full, deep sound that my Sansui G-7000 has. So unfortunately I got away with nothing and "I'm still looking for something that can be compared to the old Sansui G-7000. Honestly, once you hear it, you'll be instantly hooked. If you don't need a subwoofer, why would you use one? This is the kind of performance that Sansui gives you that a Peachtree Class D amplifier can't. ade product and will definitely meet the needs of many people.
