I use these straps like hell because I work in IT. For many years I used cheaper (probably) ties. They are thinner in profile but longer. I'm used to being able to fold cables multiple times and just got used to the lower, thinner profile. These bindings are really good, but it's not what I'm used to. They're a lot thicker - think fluffy soft Velcro or thick felt - but they're definitely shorter. However, you can garland them together to soften this effect. I put screws into some of them to make wall and reusable cable holders. It seems to work much better than those disposable screw hole zip ties. I'm still experimenting with this, but it seems to make it easier to run new cables along the backbone. They definitely hold cables like they should. And indeed, despite my nitpicking above, these are pretty good zip ties. I'm just an old fart and I'm having a hard time adjusting to any other style of tie. In this case I used the whole package of 100 pieces.
