The first watch I received allowed me to set the day and date but not the time. I thought the watch was defective and sent it to a Seiko service center. Apparently they also thought they were defective because they sent me a new watch with a different problem. Now I can set the date and time but not the day. I have no doubt there is a way to do this, but the instructions are insanely stupid. I've given up, I just can't waste my time and energy on it anymore. FOR ME THERE ARE NO LONGER SEIKO PRODUCTS. I bought a Timex digital watch that shows the month, day and date and once you set it you never have to set it again as the internal calendar knows how many days each month has. Timex isn't elegant, but it provides the information I need without a hitch. Call me old fashioned, but I love products that don't require an engineering degree to work - and you don't have to take your watch to a jeweler and pay to have it adjusted - what an absurdity.
