Good. I waited 4-5 days before posting my review and I'm glad I did. As some other users have said, it will take you a few days to get comfortable with all the features of this watch. For example, I've seen bad reviews that listed the dark of the watch as negative and the lack of a gesture to make the watch brighter. Guess what's in there. Garmin should have provided a better guide for a watch with so many features with a focus on usability. My watch came with the default brightness set to 20%, which was unbearable for the first day or two until I found a setting to change it. There's also an automatic gesture to turn on the backlight when you raise your wrist. When enabled, this feature does not affect my ability to sleep or wake me, as at least one other user has stated. In any case, the combination of the two solved the problem, and if I hadn't found it, the watch would have come back. I like the customization options with different watchfaces. Almost everything can be customized. I bought this to replace the Peak base which has been my unit for 2 years. Yes to get everything I liked on the base including a good optical heart monitor. I had to spend a lot more money than I did for my original foundation. I used the dcrainmaker site for most of my research. It took me a little getting used to the manual buttons on the watch compared to using the touchscreen, but I actually prefer it. I don't have small hands and I've had trouble seeing face options with touch at times. There are no such problems here, and it is very intuitive after using the watch for several days. The HRM scared me a little and I thought it was an underestimate but now I'm sure Peak overestimated specifically for walking. My runs are very accurate and match what I typically see on a Polar watch with a strap. I had to spend a little time tweaking the watch to make it look exactly how I wanted it. Some things I think Garmin could do better: 1: Provide a good, detailed manual. 2: Customize watch faces online in the app. 3: All types of activities that need to be configured in the application. 4: Inform users that when you upgrade you will lose the last 4 hours of hearing rate, which happened to me after 4 upgrades the first day I had the watch. I still have no idea why it took 4 updates to update. 5: Allow app customization. I don't play golf, I don't swim for activity. Give me the opportunity not to see her. 6: Best prices. The watch would be a good price for $100 to $150 less. The above usability issues I have while setting up the watch, but they aren't really bugs of the watch itself, except for the update point. the things i love customization options. If you don't want GPS on the go, turn it off. Alerts for HR zones while running. You can customize your activity screens to see what you want to see during your activities. The screen stays on. Automatic gesture for light. Silent Alarms. This was necessary for me as vibrations on my wrist are a much better way to wake up. View notifications when my phone rings. Find my phone feature. I was very upset/upset when my Peak Basis was withdrawn. Now that I've found a watch that gives me everything the Peak can do and more with an even more accurate optical HRM, I'm very happy. I will use more advanced features over time, but for now the watch has already exceeded my expectations.
