I was expecting a rain cover but it's so much better than any regular awning I've used! It's totally waterproof, so water doesn't get in, even if my hammock touches the inside. It effectively blocked the wind and was quiet! (Most tarps make noise in the wind). My only complaint is that it only has 4 pins. Normally this would be fine, but I used a homemade hammock stand as no trees were available and I had to secure the ends of the fly as well as the corners. Otherwise I love it!
