Came in a small box inside a big box. I was surprised at how small it looked in the box, but when I opened it there was quite a bit of junk inside. I wasn't sure which outdoor ashtray it was because I bought one in the front and one in the back. This should be windproof. And that's very important, because the wind here in Texas is going to blow everything away in a few days. Another feature related to its wind resistance is that I hope it will also be flood resistant, too heavy to wash away. It's not heavy, but I'd say it's a little heavy for the height-to-weight ratio. The ashtray was bought for my husband. A few years ago, he simply threw a lit cigarette butt into a flower box in his backyard. Cigarette butts quickly filled this large pot so much that one of his friends always asks him when he comes over if he tries to grow a cigarette tree. Then he started smoking in the yard. The problem is that when people come and go to the front door, they have to go through the 'smoking area'. Even if nobody smokes, it smells like a 24/7 smoking area. . This ashtray belongs in the yard. The front yard is already looking better and we haven't had another fire like the one he lit the day I decided to order ashtrays to keep the smell and clutter in the house and he does it very well. I am more than happy. While my USB man is not happy because he just wants to flick his ass and but get in. But now that I'm retired, it's time to grow up and take better care of our home.
