Seems odd that they can help so much because they don't really look like they will shrink, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much more I was able to fit in them. I have included photos of how much I tried to pack to show you. Only my clothes (neatly folded) filled the suitcase and I couldn't fit anything in it. But all my clothes, including a beach towel, fit in one big cube, and then it fit perfectly in my suitcase. There's plenty of room for my other things (shoes, camera, makeup bag). In addition, it separates my clothes and protects them from being soiled or damaged by other objects. The quality seemed really good and the zippers were solid. I wish you could choose colors but I loved that the set comes in three pieces and each in a different color makes it easy to organize the contents. I don't think I will ever travel without them now!
