Review on Fujifilm GFX 50S 51.4MP Mirrorless Medium Format Camera - Body Only by Kenta Sasaki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

Before GFX, I shot with Sony A7R2, Canon 5DSR and Fujifilm X-T2. The first two are very close in resolution. Actually, this is the only way the cameras are similar. The impression of the SF begins from the moment you unpack, when you see this huge bayonet mount and understand that it will be interesting. It should be understood that a medium format camera will give you a radically new shooting experience: incredibly high detail, unusually deep colors, enormous dynamic range. It's like the best full frame, only a cut above. Specifically, GFX pleased with high working ISO, focusing speed uncharacteristic for SF (it turns out even to shoot animals in natural light), ated software (for example, stacking has appeared), and high-quality optics. In the context of advertising shooting, I do not see any shortcomings in relation to other SF competitors with similar characteristics. Yes, and to assemble a set of camera + 2-3 flagship lenses, on Fuji SF, will be only slightly more expensive than on Sony FF.

Pros
  • - work speed - color depth - ergonomics -price - optical quality - high working ISO
Cons
  • - I didn’t immediately figure out how to connect to the plugin in Lightroom
