They are very soft and have side pockets. They are intended for children up to about 10 years old. I had no idea of the actual size so I took a chance and got a couple of these to test and found they were too small for my kids. My youngest is in high school and is a bit small for her age. Sweatpants can still be worn as pajamas or under pants on cold days, but they are tight and short. They are not dark black, but rather dark grey.
