This set includes 12 brown craft baking boxes perfect for Christmas gifts, cookies, cupcakes or other simple gifts. In addition to the crates, at the bottom of the crate are 12 inserts for reinforcement and two spools of thread that are said to be 66 feet long. Each box consists of two parts. The box itself is a one piece piece and it unfolds and requires assembly with a closable base. The assembly seemed intuitive to me. After assembly I used one of the bottoms of the box to make the box more secure inside. Please note that the cardboard insert on the underside is loose and not tight. I would have preferred a slim fit. From the looks of it, there's space all around the insert. Once assembled, this is a stable back box. Each box should contain between one and three pounds of cookies, depending on the size of the cookie. I can even put a small cake of the right size in this box. They are suitable for towels, pyjamas, etc. Overall I think they are a well made and medium weight board. They are functional and if used for gifts I recommend wrapping them as they look like a regular back box. I would also recommend using tissue paper, tissue paper, or corrugated material to place it inside to decorate a gift or treat, and I wouldn't use twine to tie a "gift" box. I would only use twine if it is going to be used in baking. The current price of $11.99 is reasonable for this ensemble as it costs $1 per box considering the cord is free.
