. I have 38 inch hips, I usually wear medium or a size 6. I ordered medium and with them tied and buttoned I was able to put them right on my butt. "Drawstring" does nothing, it is purely a decorative element. I bought them to play waterfalls - I would dazzle anyone. They look very good and are so thin that I don't think they are suitable for playing Bach. I will try another brand.
