Supports the leg. Excellent. I got rid of the corset that went all the way up my calf which was very restrictive. She feels a lot more free and people don't see her as disabled (she's had spinal surgery and a limp leg from a car accident, among other things). I heard that the strap is starting to stretch but after a week it stopped. Just take a look. The only real problem is that it didn't come with instructions and I had to find out and make sure it fit properly in the shoe, the price is WAY, WAY too high for what it's made of and it can't be used with anything but lace-ups. Also, it doesn't say the product comes with a strap - I bought another one because the advert didn't say it came with a strap. All in all it seemed to work and it completely changed her attitude.
