Started to peel after 3 wears!

I am very gentle on my shoes and carry them into the office and wear them in the office on carpet only and after only three days they are peeling! I cannot return because I bought over a month ago and we are just having nice enough weather to wear them. Maybe I got a bad pair but beware.
