Can't speak to durability yet but boot construction is good and will likely last all season. Fairly flexible/soft rubber so there is no ankle support when running. I bought a size up to accommodate the height but the lack of ankle support causes my 3 year old bike to fall off constantly. I saw him running around my backyard, falling a few times, and I was afraid he'd sprain his ankle. It didn't seem to bother him. I decided to keep them for myself so he could wear them when they fit and bought another one with a pattern (in his size) so I could see if the material matched. same.
