I originally purchased this product to help with weight loss which may be helpful if you are watching your diet. Now I continue to take because the cholesterol level is normal. I've been taking it for about 7 months and had to go to the doctor for a blood test to check my cholesterol etc. I dreaded this appointment because I was gaining weight, not exercising, and not eating healthily. Well, to my (and probably my doctor's) surprise, my total cholesterol was below 200, my HDL was up, and my LDL was down. Even my previously very high triglycerides were in the normal range! I haven't changed anything else in my diet or lifestyle - the only change is with this product so I'd say it's worth continuing!
