Works great when used as directed. Before you buy, note that this is NOT for storing unwrapped bread. The container is used to store bread in a bag. The bag wraps around the rim of the container, allowing you to pull the bag down and the bread rises to the rim for easy dispensing. There are holes in the bottom (to make it easier to move the bag of bread up and down). So if you don't keep the bread in the bag it will quickly go stale and allow dirt/debris/bugs etc to get in..My only "complaint" is that I wish it was shorter. I had to put my bread in another cupboard because it's too big/long to fit in the cupboard I usually use. However, when your bread is running low, it actually helps because you can put a new bag of bread in it, remove the top, and put the remaining pieces of your old bread on top. So the container is actually longer than a normal loaf of bread. If this is a big deal for you, measure your closet beforehand to make sure it fits.
