Surprisingly good sound for its size. The set folds down to a convenient travel size, but when open the speakers cannot be detached from the base. The sound quality is good overall, but the bass gets distorted when the volume is maxed out. Two adapters are included to conveniently "stand" your iPod Nano or iPod Video (e.g. 5thG iPod 30Gig or 80Gig - or similar in the same size). This adapter is just a "cradle". Insert your iPod and insert the 1/8" plug into the top. The Nano has a plug built into the stand - a great feature when it works. Unfortunately, the downside is that the Nano adapter doesn't fit .iPod 2G Nano as advertised. The connector built into the cradle is too far from the edge of the cradle making it unpluggable and essentially rendering it completely unusable. The speakers can still be used, but you put the nano end up on the table next to the speakers rather than using that very neat stand (as shown in the promotional photos) I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for cheap travel speakers, with good sound - if you aren't worried about the unusability of the nano adapters and plan on using an AC adapter (not included) to power them.If not, have a good supply of AAA batteries handy uses four of these, and they don't last as long as charging an iPod, so you'll find yourself lacing them up often.
