I would love this for my daughter's Barbie collection but it just isn't practical. All of her accessories, like shoe bags and other small Barbie accessories, should fit in the top, which would be the perfect storage compartment for such items. But unfortunately the two lids over the small top compartments don't hold up properly and I can see them wearing out to the point where they eventually break. Every time you open the main lid to get into the large compartment, the top two small lids come off and all the small accessories fall to the bottom. So if you plan to use this for your child's Barbie collection I would suggest just using the large compartment and maybe not putting small items or small items in the top compartments. Otherwise you will constantly frustrate the upper two small compartments.
