I bought this to replace the Samsung cable on the fast charger that came with my phone, which failed at the point where the cable connects to the phone's mini USB port and started to overheat). It's a lot thicker - a little annoying to use but hopefully lasts longer. It also lacks Samsung's built-in three stripes to identify the orientation of the (asymmetric) connector by touch. Instead, the brand name is printed on the "top" side. Spring. Anyway, I mainly use it in the light. And the connection now works cool when charging.
