I found a chair on sale that I liked the shape of but hated the ugly floral pattern - apparently the previous owner did the same because the idiot painted it gray. You did a terrible job, the drawing was still translucent, and it missed the hell out by half a chair! The price was right though, so I took it home as a project. My brilliant husband came up with a cover instead of new upholstery as a solution. For such a price I didn't expect miracles. However, I secretly hoped. And when it arrived promptly a few days later my husband, who had never worn a cover on anything, surprised me by putting it on and setting up my now lovely upholstered covered chair. so I can see it when I get home from work. Here is a convenient and inexpensive solution. I feel like ugly furniture is now being seriously considered for purchase everywhere.
