Review on USA-Made KAVU Beber Belt - 1.5 Inch Adjustable Nylon Waist with Built-In Bottle Opener Buckle by Joel Gumbiner

I had another Kavu Berber belt before ordering this one. It has served me well for many years. It measures 1-3/8" wide and is in excellent condition. This particular Kavu Berber belt is 1-1/2" wide and began to fray at the edges of the belt as it was too wide to fit through the buckle when the belt was closed. After a few months I saw obvious damage to the Edges of the strap. I contacted Kavu support about the situation and explained the difference between the two Kavu Berber belts. A Kavu customer service representative explained that 1-1/2" was the standard width for strap material, but I pointed out that that this is not always the case. Instead, a 1-3/8" belt material is used. The customer service rep agreed to send me a new Kavu Berber belt, but it's also the same belt width of 1-1/2 inches, so it won't be a long-term solution. It was very frustrating and disappointing. that Kavu couldn't figure out how they screwed up this particular product when they had it ok years ago.
